Cambridge iGCSE in Travel & Tourism
This course aims to give you an understanding of the travel and tourism industry. The course is broken down into six units:
Unit 1: The travel and tourism industry - In this unit you will learn about the structure of the industry and investigate the social, cultural, economic and environmental impact of travel and tourism.
Unit 2: Features of worldwide destinations - In this unit you will learn about the location of global cities and land masses/seas and describe the features which attract tourists to a particular location.
Unit 3: Customer care and working procedures - In this unit you will learn about dealing with customers and the skills required to work within the industry.
Unit 4: Travel and tourism products and services - In this unit you will learn the roles of tour operators and travel agents and explore the features of worldwide transport.
Unit 5: Marketing and promotion - In this unit you will learn about the role and function of marketing and promoting services within the industry.
Unit 6: The marketing and promotion of visitor services - In this unit you will learn about the role and function of tourism authorities responsible for tourism promotion.
