Course Overview
PSHE teaches students to learn how to face and deal with any issues they may encounter in any situation, whether it’s friendships, personal wellbeing, or school. The work done around these topics will give the students the relevant skills for independent living and future employment; both socially and emotionally. All the content for this course is based on academic research, supported by case studies and surveys.
There are 3 main themes that students will work through – Health and Wellbeing, Relationships and Living in the wider world. Each theme delves into important questions that will not only challenge the students, but prepare them for their present and future. The following are examples of some of the topics that will be taught and discussed: basic first aid, personal safety, food choices, marriage and parenting, bullying, consent, economic wellbeing and digital and media literacy.
