Course Overview

There are four main topics covered within this course:

• Warfare through time 1250 – present
• Early Elizabethan England 1558 – 1588
• British America - Empire and Revolution 1713 – 1783
• Weimar and Nazi Germany 1918 – 1939

Students will develop the skills to explain, analyse and evaluate these historical periods, both to understand what happened in the past and how it is affecting our present.

Exams

History is a 100% exam-based subject, where students will need to answer numerous essay-style questions across 3 papers. Students will be expected to be able to interpret and analyse sources given, and refer back to the relevant events/time periods.
