Thank you all so much for the warm welcome during our visit. Although I didn't have the opportunity to share the speech I prepared for you and in the way I had planned, it was still a real privilege to spend time with you, meet some wonderful young people, and hopefully gave you a sense of hope for the future.

The sporadic conversations we had, the smiles we exchanged, all reminded me that behind every young person is a unique story, a dream, and incredible potential waiting to be nurtured.

I left inspired and hopeful, but I also left challenged. It reinforced my belief that we must continue to do better and more for our young people. I have never believed that where you are born should determine how far you can go in life.

I hope this is the beginning and not the end of my connection with the school.

I would love to return, not simply to speak, but to sit with you, listen to your stories, hear your dreams, and learn about the challenges and aspirations that make each of you unique. I believe that every young person has something valuable to teach the world, and sometimes the greatest gift we can give one another is the gift of time to listen.

Keep dreaming. Keep asking questions. Keep believing in yourselves, even when others don't. Your circumstances may shape your journey, but they do not define your future.
